Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, better known as Defeated Invincible, is an evil version of the main Invincible from an alternate universe and a minor antagonist in the second season of Invincible.
Much like most versions of Invincible, he accepted his father Nolan Grayson’s offer to join the Viltrumite Empire, causing havoc across the entire world.
However, this Invincible was ultimately unable to complete the conquest of Earth, as global military forces managed to defeat both him and his father. Omni-Man was killed by experimental quantum bombs that devastated large portions of Europe, while Invincible was worn down by the enemies attacking him until he needed to sleep which gave the government time to capture and imprison him within a highly secured facility operated by the Global Defense Agency.
Appearance
Physique

Powers and Abilities
- Viltrumite-Human Hybrid Physiology: Defeated Invincible possesses the standard abilities of a Viltrumite-Human hybrid, with Viltrumite traits overwhelmingly dominant.
- Decelerated Aging: Defeated Invincible possesses an exceptionally prolonged lifespan due to his biology, which causes him to age increasingly slower over time. This decelerated aging allows him to maintain peak health, physical conditioning, and combat performance for thousands of years.
- Dominant Genes: Viltrumites genetics are incredibly potent and adaptive. Defeated Invincible, like others of his kind, can reproduce with a wide range of species, with his Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly asserting itself in the offspring. As a result, the child will typically inherit predominantly Viltrumite traits, often appearing and functioning almost entirely as a Viltrumite. The more genetically compatible the mate’s species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will manifest the full range of standard Viltrumite abilities.
- Flight: Defeated Invincible, due to a complex balancing system located in his inner ears, possesses the ability to levitate and propel himself through the air at will, capable of reaching extreme speeds. He can effortlessly alter his trajectory mid-flight, allowing for sharp turns, sudden stops, and precise aerial maneuvering. His control enables seamless navigation through a wide range of environments.
- Superhuman Strength: Defeated Invincible possesses immense strength capable of overpowering military forces, though he was ultimately worn down and captured.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Defeated Invincible possesses incredible durability, rendering his body highly resistant to a wide range of attacks. He can withstand explosions, high-caliber bullets, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining significant damage.
- Superhuman Speed: Defeated Invincible has steadily displayed exceptional speed that enables him to move, react, and fly at velocities far beyond human limits and faster than most super-powered beings on Earth.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Defeated Invincible possesses an incredible healing factor. It enables him to heal broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs, and even regrow lost body parts without any lasting effects, even regrow certain lost anatomy like teeth. This healing ability is highly dependent on the severity of the injury. Minor harm takes mere minutes to at most a few days, whereas more grievous harm can takes weeks or even months. Additionally, Defeated Invincible is virtually immune to most illnesses and contaminants, making him highly resistant to various environmental and biological threats.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Defeated Invincible possesses extraordinary lung capacity, allowing him to survive without air for extended periods. This ability enables him to operate unhindered in oxygen-deprived environments, such as the vacuum of space without protection.
- Superhuman Senses: Defeated Invincible possesses extraordinary sensory abilities, far exceeding human limitations. His auditory perception allows him to hear sounds from great distances with incredible clarity, enabling him to detect even the faintest noises and selectively ignore irrelevant ones. His vision is equally advanced, providing him with the ability to see distant objects with the same sharpness and detail as though they were right in front of him. Additionally, his heightened equilibrium and balance grant him exceptional poise and stability, allowing him to maintain control and coordination in even the most difficult situations.
- Superhuman Stamina: Defeated Invincible possesses extraordinary stamina, allowing him to engage in prolonged combat without showing signs of fatigue. Like all Viltrumites, his biology is optimized for endurance and durability, enabling him to fight effectively even after suffering severe injuries. Viltrumites are known to remain functional unless catastrophic damage is inflicted on vital organs such as the heart or brain.
Weaknesses
- Excessively High Frequency: As a Viltrumite, High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Defeated Invincible. It disturbs his balance, restricts his flying capability and induces severe pain. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
- Extreme Force: Like all Viltrumites, Defeated Invincible remains vulnerable to opponents who match or exceed his own strength and durability. Extreme force from such foes can cause serious harm or even defeat him.
- Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus can target Defeated Invincible by compromising his immune systems, deactivating his strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.
