The Earth's Moon is its only permanent natural satellite in Invincible.
Description
The Moon has a solid, rocky surface, cratered and pitted from impacts by asteroids, meteorites, and comets. The Moon has a very thin, tenuous atmosphere called an exosphere, which does not contain enough oxygen to allow breathability. The Moon is reflective due to the crystalline nature of its rock, this causes it to "glow" at night by reflecting sunlight.
History
Formation
Around 4.6 Billion years ago a small mars sized planet known as Theia[1] collided with a forming Earth. This impact shot large pieces of both planets into space where they would begin orbiting Earth due to its gravitational pull. These rocks began colliding with each other leading to the Moon beginning to form. As rocks began to merge into the Moon or fall back into Earth, the Moon began to cool down this let asteroids and meteorites to impact the surface leading to the Moons appearance today.
Meeting Allen
In late 2022, Invincible went to space to deal with a unidentified alien, he was attacked from behind. Allen the Alien and Invincible dueled. Invincible soon proceeded to tackle Allen and sent the both of them crashing into the surface of the Moon which created a large dust cloud from the force of their impact. Invincible was punched and teased by Allen on the surface of the Moon. When Invincible told him he only wanted to talk, Allen asks him if he was using his time out, which confused Invincible and stated that he did not know what was going on. Surprised, Allen grabs some moon rocks for both of them to sit on. He tells Invincible that he is an evaluation officer for the Coalition of Planets, though Invincible still did not know what he meant. Allen tells him that the planet "Urath" was on his list, which makes Invincible tell him that he had gotten the planet wrong since they were on Earth. Allen leaves after sorting out this situation with Invincible, and flies off into outer space. Invincible, still confused from the whole experience, then gets a better look of Earth from the Moon and is in awe from the beautiful sight of his home planet.
Allen Returns
Six months after their initial meeting, Allen returned to warn Invincible of a Viltrumite living on his planet, but Invincible shared the details of what transpired in his absence. The two sit on the Moon again to talk with Invincible and Allen agreeing to keep in touch.
Training Regimen
In early 2024, Invincible used the Moon as part of his training regimen with the G.D.A., in preparation for the upcoming Viltrumite invasion. The organization had Invincible travel to the Moon and return to their monitoring base as quickly as possible. Invincible accomplished it in record time but mentioned that he could have been quicker if he had not gotten lost during the journey.
Viltrumites of the Moon
Following their defeat in the Viltrumite War, the remaining Viltrumites withdrew to Earth aboard their final cruiser. As the Viltrumite refugees arrived on Earth, the cruiser was stationed on the moon's dark side in the initial phase of the Great Resurgence, while the surviving Viltrumites dispersed across Earth and integrated into human society. In the meantime, Thragg chose to remain onboard the cruiser and monitor the Empire's gradual resurgence instead of partaking in its mission.
