The Relonians are one of the alien species to be conquered by the Viltrum Empire, they were one of the species to resist the Empire.
Appearance
They seem to be a humanoid alien species with different skin colors, varying from green, blue, or dark yellow. They also have four horns on their heads and the sides of their jaws, with large canine teeth in their lower mouths.
Culture
It's unknown what their culture was before being subjugated by the Viltrumites, but they had shown to be brave enough to resist the Viltrum Empire despite their lack of physical strength.
History
At some point during the expansion of the Viltrum Empire, the planet Relonia was conquered, and its native inhabitants, the Relonians, were subjugated. Like many other species under Viltrumite rule, they were forced into labor, serving the Empire’s needs under constant surveillance. During this time, two Viltrumites, a male and his female partner, were assigned to observe the Relonians while they filled tanks with a purple fluid. During the process, the Relonians secretly planned a rebellion and placed a grenade on one of the tanks before fleeing the area. The tank later exploded, killing both observing Viltrumites.
Viltrumite councilors discussed their attack on Viltrumite mining operations, with Kregg suggesting they wipe them out before they rebel again. Thaedus pointed out that they are rebelling due to the Empire's brutality and long-term objective undermining, suggesting that they should show controlled restraint that would not only solve the problem but could improve labor compliance. This led to an argument between the two about the approach, with Thaedus pointing out that they respect strength and the Relonians' courage to rebel against Viltrum's tyranny. Thragg interpreted that their strength is offensive and recommended harsh corrective measures to reinforce Viltrumite dominance. Emperor Argall agreed to reduce the Relonians' population to 25 percent or wipe them out if they continued their defiance. Thaedus pleaded with the emperor to reconsider, only to be met with deaf ears.
It's unknown what happened to the Relonians, but it's likely they were wiped out. The following would lead to the events of Argall's Assassination, the Great Purge, and the Scourge Virus.
