Paul is a minor character in Invincible, debuting from Season 2 and onward.
He is a real estate agent who works with Debbie Grayson and is her ex-boyfriend.
History
Background
Paul worked in real estate and was a co-worker of Debbie. When Omni-Man's true motives were revealed and he fled the planet, Debbie fell into a state of grief which Paul noticed.
Aiding Debbie
Paul is seen with Debbie trying to sell a house to a couple. When the husband argue over buying the house, Paul defuses the situation by showing them out.
Dating Debbie
Paul and Debbie were shown together throughout Season 2. During an episode of Season 3, they are shown to be having a date at an Italian restaurant, where Debbie makes a comment about 'not going on a date in 20 years', which makes Paul doubt their relationship.
Later on, they are on a date at a simple bar, and Debbie reveals that her children actually have superpowers, and that her past Husband didn't die in a gas explosion, but was actually Omni-Man. He then says he thinks he should leave, due to him doubting he can care for children with superpowers, and would never be the same as Nolan. Debbie reassures him that her children would surely accept and love him the same.
They are seen making out on Debbie's couch before being interrupted by Mark and Oliver.
Chicago Memorial
After a family meal, Paul expresses his insecurities to Debbie as to whether he would fit in to the unique lifestyle of a superhero family. Debbie assures Paul that he doesn't need to fulfil a fatherly role - rather just be there for her, and her family.
As the Graysons and Atom Eve are getting ready for the memorial event in Chicago, Paul expresses his uncertainty with the idea of teleporting, though Debbie states that they will be using the car. Initially relieved, Paul later finds out that he and Debbie will be inside the car while Mark flies it all the way to Chicago. Paul is clearly terrified by the situation, being so high up in the air.
Invincible War
Paul and Debbie initially hide in the former's home while the Invincible War rages on. However, Paul suggests they move somewhere else, fearing that one of the evil variants would come here. Though initially reluctant, Debbie agrees and goes to Paul's home to hide which turns out to be an intelligent decision, as Movincihawk comes to her house sometime afterwards in an attempt to kill Debbie.
Family Reunion
After Nolan and Debbie reunite, much with anger and spite from the latter end, they have one last dinner as a family before Paul and Debbie wish Oliver and Mark goodbye as they head into war with Nolan, telling them to "kick ass" before obliging when Debbie glares at him.
Viltrumite War
During the 4 months that the Viltrumite War took place, Debbie and Paul end their relationship because he couldn't deal with the stress of superhero kids and struggling to comfort Debbie. Despite this, they remain friends and colleagues at work.
Destiny's Bargain
Debbie vents to Paul about Mark and Nolan leaving Oliver in an alien hospital, in despair that she could not be there for him. Paul reminds her that their breakup only solidified the bravery she holds with a superhero family, and suggests that she should go see Oliver in space.
Debbie mentions to Nolan that she and Paul have broken up, as their lives were too different. Despite this, Paul offers to help Debbie with the house in her absence.
