Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Thula possesses highly advanced genetics that grants her a wide range of superhuman abilities typical of her species. Like all Viltrumites, her physical capabilities gradually improve over time through age, experience, and prolonged exposure to combat.
- Decelerated Aging: Thula possesses an exceptionally prolonged lifespan due to her biology, which causes her to age increasingly slower over time. This decelerated aging allows her to maintain peak health, physical conditioning, and combat performance for thousands of years. Despite showing noticeable signs of aging, she remains a robust individual.
- Dominant Genes: Viltrumites genetics are incredibly potent and adaptive. Thula, like others of her kind, can reproduce with a wide range of species, with her Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly asserting itself in the offspring. As a result, the child will typically inherit predominantly Viltrumite traits, often appearing and functioning almost entirely as a Viltrumite. The more genetically compatible the mate’s species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will manifest the full range of standard Viltrumite abilities.
- Flight: Due to a complex balancing system located in her inner ears, Thula possesses the ability to levitate and propel herself in the air, able to alter her trajectory mid-flight and maneuver seamlessly through various environments. Her control enables effortless navigation through a wide range of settings and outer space.
- Superhuman Strength: Thula possesses incredible physical strength, as demonstrated during the interrogation of Allen the Alien, where she, alongside Lucan and Vidor, swiftly and effortlessly overpowered the non-enhanced Unopan. In her first encounter with Invincible (prior to Mark’s formal G.D.A. training), she decisively dominated him in close combat, overwhelming him blow for blow and choking him mid-air with her bladed braid. Despite this, Mark eventually turned the tide after being pushed to the brink emotionally, gaining the upper hand and overpowering her in a violent exchange. However, when he hesitated to finish her, she exploited the opening, stabbing him through the abdomen and nearly killing him, only to be incapacitated by Nolan in the last moment. During the Viltrumite War, she sliced Thaedus’s back open with her blade braid, though she was quickly overpowered soon after. She later engaged Battle Beast, trading blows with him and managing to partially slice open his abdomen before being overwhelmed.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Thula possesses exceptional durability, allowing her to resist most forms of physical trauma with only minor visible damage. During her encounter with Invincible, she tanked multiple blows from both Mark and Nolan without faltering, continuing to fight. However, sustained punishment from an emotionally charged Invincible, combined with a direct jaw-breaking blow from Nolan, ultimately incapacitated her.
- Superhuman Speed: Thula possesses exceptional speed, capable of traversing vast distances across a planet in mere minutes. Her reflexes and reaction time are highly advanced, allowing her to engage high-speed opponents with precision. During the interrogation of Allen the Alien, Thula, alongside Lucan and Vidor, overwhelmed the Unopan with coordinated, high-velocity strikes before he could react. In her encounter with Invincible, (prior to GDA training), she repeatedly closed distance and struck before he could defend himself. Despite Mark eventually gaining the upper hand, Thula’s speed consistently gave her a significant edge throughout their encounter. Her speed extends beyond planetary movement, allowing her to survive and fight in the vacuum of space.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Thula possesses an extraordinary healing factor. She can regenerate broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs without any lasting effects. The recovery rate depends on the severity of the injury. Minor harm takes mere minutes to at most a few days, whereas more grievous harm can take weeks or even months. Additionally, Thula is virtually immune to most illnesses and contaminants. After having her jaw broken by Nolan, she was able to fully recover.
- Superhuman Senses: Thula possesses extraordinary sensory abilities, far exceeding human limitations. Her auditory perception allows her to hear sounds from great distances with incredible clarity, enabling her to detect even the faintest noises and selectively ignore irrelevant ones. Her vision is equally advanced, providing her with the ability to see distant objects with the same sharpness and detail as though they were right in front of her. Additionally, her heightened equilibrium and balance grant her exceptional poise and stability, allowing her to maintain control and coordination in even the most difficult situations.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Thula possesses extraordinary lung capacity, allowing her to survive without air for extended periods. This ability enables her to operate unhindered in oxygen-deprived environments, such as the vacuum of space without protection.
- Self-Sustenance: Viltrumites possess an extraordinary ability to go without food for extended periods, though the exact duration is not well documented. As a result, their physical needs are significantly reduced, allowing them to function effectively without regular nourishment. Thula, like other Viltrumites, experiences minimal requirements for sustenance, enabling her to endure long periods without food without any significant decline in health or vitality.
- Superhuman Stamina: Thula possesses exceptional stamina, enabling her to fight for extended periods without fatigue. Like all Viltrumites, her body is engineered for peak endurance, allowing her to continue operating effectively even after suffering severe injuries. She can survive wounds that would be instantly fatal to most beings, as Viltrumites typically only die from catastrophic damage to the heart or brain. This resilience was demonstrated during her fight with Invincible, as she continued fighting even after being attacked from multiple angles, barged into by Nolan mid-flight and when Mark hesitated to kill her, despite sustaining injuries.
Abilities
- Master Combatant: Thula is an elite Viltrumite warrior known for her brutal efficiency in battle. With hand-to-hand tactics, she was able to effortlessly overwhelms Invincible during their first exchange, prior to his G.D.A. training, using a mix of sheer strength and aerial control. Likewise, she demonstrates exceptional skill in mid-range combat, using her braided hair as a flail and whip, striking with such precision and seamless sudden change in attack patterns to confuse and keep her opponent on the defense. Overall, her fighting style is methodical, unorthodox, and relentless, demonstrating quick adaptability against a single or multiple opponents.
Equipment
- Blade Braid: Thula’s signature weapon is her long hair braided into a rope. This extension of her hair serves as a whip-like weapon, which she is able to grab enemies from a distance or restrain and choke them. With the blade on the end of her hair, it also gives her the option to stab and slice her targets. The material that makes up the blade is very durable, able to easily slice through most Viltrumites. The Blade Braid reflects her skill and ingenuity in combat. Upon settling on Earth, Thula would take off her blade braid and wear it only when required.
Weaknesses
- Excessively High Frequency: As a Viltrumite, High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Thula. It disturbs her balance, restricts her flying capability and induces severe pain. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
- Extreme Force: Like all Viltrumites, Thula remains vulnerable to opponents who match or exceed her own strength and durability. Extreme force from such foes can cause serious harm or even defeat her.
- Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus can target Thula by compromising her immune systems, deactivating her strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.

Trivia

- Thula's signature weapon is her braided hair, like the scene in episode 8, and episode 4 of season 2, it acts more like a lasso, spear and sword.
- A character in the DC Animated Universe had a similar attack style to Thula, where she'd use her hair as weapon, but more like a whip.
- Since she was active during the time of the Great Purge, Thula is older than Nolan, as the latter was born after the purge was complete and her recent appearances in season 2, showed that Thula looks older.
- As she retains approximately the same appearance during the Great Purge as she does in the present, she is likely around the same age as Conquest, making her one of the oldest Viltrumites alive.
