History
During the day of the funeral, Omni-Man descended from the skies to deliver a eulogy for his fallen comrades, the Guardians of the Globe. The residents of Tokyo were all left in somber shock upon hearing of their passing.
Later Omni-Man revealed his true nefarious plans, and the whole world (including Tokyo) learned of this outcome.
Invincible War
Omnivincible trashes Tokyo, Japan.
More than a year after the demise of the Guardians and Nolan’s “disseverance,” an Invincible variant, ironically resembling Omni-Man, decimated Tokyo, Japan. His cape was drenched in the blood of the city’s victims. The destruction of Tokyo is shown to us on Day 3 of the Invincible War.

- In the comics, Omnivincible died during the war on day 2 from a yo-yo and therefore did not destroy Tokyo on day 3. The variant that destroyed Tokyo instead was a variant called Kneepads Invincible, who was among the eight surviving variants. However he was not included in the series and his role was replaced by Omnivincible.
