Capvincible is an evil variant of the main Invincible and a supporting antagonist in third season of the series.
Capvincible was one of the variants of Invincible who would be assembled by Angstrom Levy to start the Invincible War in the mainstream dimension.
Appearance
Physique
Capvincible has nearly identical physique to his original counterpart. He is tall and fair-skinned. Unlike other variants, his hair is completely covered by his outfit, so it’s unknown whether he has hair or is bald. He has thick black hair styled with volume, and it is assumed he also has brown eyes.
Clothing
Blue and Black Suit
His head is fully covered by a cowl as part of his hero suit. The suit is primarily black, with a lighter shade of blue on the torso that extends slightly onto his chest and sides. His arms and legs are entirely blue, contrasting with the black sections of the outfit. The black and blue blend seamlessly, giving the costume a sleek, streamlined look.
Personality
This dimensional variant embraced the role of a supervillain, readily participating in the Invincible War with a disturbing lack of concern for the widespread destruction and loss of life he inflicted. Capvincible is a sadistic individual, reveling in the chance to cause as much pain as possible to his foe.
History
Backstory
Nothing is known about this Invincible's backstory. However, at some point he became a supervillain.
Capvincible was one of the evil variants to be recruited by Angstrom Levy and along with the other Invincible variants, start the Invincible War, and cause havoc across the mainstream universe.
Invincible War
Capvincible arrived to the mainstream universe through Angstrom's portal and immediately proceeded to destroy everything in sight. On day two he would later be greeted by Kid Omni-Man, who mistook him for his Invincible. After a brief skirmish, Capvincible almost obliterates Kid Omni-Man, before two heroes, Throwbolt and Bug-Eye, intervene and join the fight against Capvincible.
The superheroes who were fighting him survived the encounter and later fought and killed another variant, with Capvincible nowhere to be seen, indicating he was likely killed by the trio.
Legacy
Capvincible's role in the Invincible War had tremendous repercussions on the mainstream dimensions. Entire cities and countries were reduced to rubble while numerous lives were lost.
Capvincible's corpse was later retrieved by the GDA to be converted into a ReAniman.
Capvincible’s corpse being rebuilt into a ReAnimen.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Viltrumite-Human Hybrid Physiology: Although Capvincible was technically a Viltrumite-Human hybrid, the dominance of his Viltrumite genetics rendered him nearly indistinguishable from a full-blooded Viltrumite.
- Decelerated Aging: Capvincible possessed an exceptionally prolonged lifespan due to his biology, which causes him to age increasingly slower over time. This decelerated aging allows him to maintain peak health, physical conditioning, and combat performance for thousands of year.
- Dominant Genes: Viltrumites genetics are incredibly potent and adaptive. Capvincible, like others of his kind, could reproduce with a wide range of species, with his Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly asserting itself in the offspring. As a result, the child will typically inherit predominantly Viltrumite traits, often appearing and functioning almost entirely as a Viltrumite. The more genetically compatible the mate’s species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will manifest the full range of standard Viltrumite abilities.
- Flight: Due to a complex balancing system located in his inner ears, Capvincible possessed the ability to levitate and propel himself through the air at will, capable of reaching extreme speeds. He could effortlessly alter his trajectory mid-flight, allowing for sharp turns, sudden stops, and precise aerial manoeuvring. His control enabled seamless navigation through a wide range of environments.
- Superhuman Strength: Capvincible possessed incredible physical strength, as shown during the Invincible War, where he effortlessly overpowered Kid Omni-Man in a one-on-one. His dominance in combat was briefly interrupted when he was unexpectedly ambushed by two additional heroes, Throwbolt and Bug-Eye, who managed to subdue him with additional help of Kid Omni-Man through a coordinated surprise attack.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Capvincible possessed exceptional durability, allowing him to resist most forms of physical trauma with only minor visible damage.
- Superhuman Speed: Capvincible possessed exceptional speed, capable of traversing vast distances across a planet in mere minutes. His reflexes and reaction time are highly advanced, allowing him to engage high-speed opponents with precision. During the Invincible War, while battling Kid Omni-Man, he failed to react in time when Oliver quickly recovered, manoeuvred behind him, and launched a surprise attack.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Capvincible possessed an incredible healing factor. It enabled him to heal broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs without any lasting effects, even regrow certain lost anatomy like teeth. This healing ability was highly dependent on the severity of the injury. Minor harm takes mere minutes to at most a few days, whereas more grievous harm can takes weeks or even months. Additionally, Capvincible was virtually immune to most illnesses and contaminants, making him highly resistant to various environmental and biological threats.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Capvincible possessed extraordinary lung capacity, allowing him to survive without air for extended periods. This ability enabled him to operate unhindered in oxygen-deprived environments, such as the vacuum of space without protection.
- Superhuman Senses: Capvincible possessed extraordinary sensory abilities, far exceeding human limitations. His auditory perception allowed him to hear sounds from great distances with incredible clarity, enabling him to detect even the faintest noises and selectively ignore irrelevant ones. His vision was equally advanced, providing him with the ability to see distant objects with the same sharpness and detail as though they were right in front of him. Additionally, his heightened equilibrium and balance granted him exceptional poise and stability, allowing him to maintain control and coordination in even the most difficult situations.
- Self-Sustenance: Viltrumites possess an extraordinary ability to go without food for extended periods, though the exact duration is not well documented. As a result, their physical needs are significantly reduced, allowing them to function effectively without regular nourishment. Capvincible, like other Viltrumites, experienced minimal requirements for sustenance, enabling him to endure long periods without food without any significant decline in health or vitality.
- Superhuman Stamina: Capvincible possessed exceptional stamina, allowing him to engage in prolonged combat without showing signs of fatigue. Like all Viltrumites, his biology is optimised for endurance and durability, enabling him to fight effectively even after suffering severe injuries. Viltrumites are known to remain functional unless catastrophic damage is inflicted on vital organs such as the heart or brain.
Weaknesses
- Excessively High Frequency: As a Viltrumite, High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Capvincible. It disturbs his balance, restricts his flying capability and induces severe pain. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
- Extreme Force: Like all Viltrumites, Capvincible remains vulnerable to opponents who match or exceed his own strength and durability. Extreme force from such foes can cause serious harm or even defeat him.
- Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus can target Capvincible by compromising his immune systems, deactivating his strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.
